The big day is finally here! Wild Rose Jefferson and Cobblestone Hotel’s grand openings are today.
The Greene County Ambassadors will also be on-hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Vice-President Brandon Gusthoff explains what the organization is and what the 25-member group does.
“Well we are the official welcoming committee for the Greene County Chamber. We welcome new businesses to Greene County and we celebrate Chamber member business anniversaries and milestones for them.”
The Ambassadors also welcome dignitaries like when Governor Terry Branstad came to the County last year to mark Greene County as the first Home Base Iowa community, along with dedication ceremonies like Sally’s Alley on the south side of the downtown square in Jefferson.
The Ambassadors will be at the Cobblestone ribbon-cutting at 4:30pm and at Wild Rose Jefferson’s ribbon-cutting at 5:30pm today. Along with each of the ribbon-cuttings will be tours of both facilities and Wild Rose is having giveaways and drawings throughout the weekend. Plus, our Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from their location at the northwest corner of US Highway 30 and Iowa Highway 4 from 4 to 7pm.
