As we’ve reported, Panorama graduate Gavin Richey has joined the football team at Sioux City’s Morningside College. The Mustangs football team, of Morningside, are ranked as the 3rd best NAIA team in the nation, according to a recent coaches poll. Panorama’s head football coach Lyle Alumbaugh says he’s been keeping up with Richey’s performance at Morningside and remains impressed by his former athlete. “He’s getting along really well. He’s in consideration there on the 2-deep. For a true freshman, at any level, to be knocking on the door for some playing time, that’s extraordinary. They’ve got him at safety, but as he fills out, I believe their ultimate objective is to have him at middle linebacker, like he was for us.”
Gavin Richey and the rest of the Morningside College Mustangs play their first game on September 5th, when they head down to Sterling College in Kansas.
