Kyle Baxter and Accujet of Perry claimed the top prize Tuesday night at the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce’s Second Annual Donkey Basketball.  Accujet defeated Hulgan Plumbing and Heating 12-10 in overtime.  Andy Sherman provided the tiebreaking basket to give Accujet the Donkey trophy.  Accujet defeated Dallas County Hospital in the first round while Hulgan squeezed by Rainbow International in the other first round clash.  The tournament was highlighted by a number of first time riders mixed with some seasoned veterans.  Matt McDermott, Danny Splendore, Nate Platt, Shannon Cline, JP Hulgan, Sarah Hulgan, Liz Minor, Police officers Jeff Larsen and Clay Leonard, St Pat’s teachers Anna Ferguson and Nate Krueger, Brian Moorehead, Jack Butler, JC and Toby Barck, Corey Myers, Pam Ballard, and Ricky Pentico were some of the brave community members who rode the wild beasts.

The donkeys were brought in from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and was played at St Pat’sn Gymnasium.  The St Pat’s Home and School foundation ran the concessions while all proceeds went to the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce.
