An Arkansas man was arrested after rolling his semi rig off eastbound Interstate 80 near the Dexter exit Friday morning.
According to the Adair County Sheriff’s office, 52 year old Benjamin Adams, of Dover, Arkansas, was interviewed by a State Trooper after driving his rig into the south ditch near mile marker 93. The Trooper noticed a smell of alcohol coming from Adams and his eyes were bloodshot and watery. Adams failed a sobriety test and was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated. Additionally, he was cited for failure to maintain control, open container in a motor vehicle, and presence of alcohol in a commercial vehicle. Adams was brought to the Adair County Jail and later released on a $1,000 bond.
