After a successful concert on Tuesday night, several Greene County High School students will compete this weekend for all-state.
Director David Heupel says 18 students will travel to Atlantic on Saturday.
Three of four students are returning qualifiers from last year. Senior David Peterson is looking to be a three-time qualifier. Heupel points out that it’s quite an honor to be a three-time qualifier, he’s also had several students achieve that same mark over the years. As for the other two, Nadia Fisher and Michael Kennedy, they are looking to make it for a second consecutive year as juniors. Senior Victoria Sims qualified in her sophomore year and is also looking to make it for a second time this year.
All 18 students will be auditioning in seven groups and Heupel adds that they are working very hard this fall and he hopes for the best for his students.
