The ADM boys basketball team will officially start their 2015-2016 season tonight as they take on the Eagles of Pella Christian.
The Tigers will have their work cut out for them as they square off against a Pella Christian team fresh off a third place finish in last season’s state tournament. Head coach Aaron Mager understands the challenge, embraces the challenge, and believes it will be a good early season test for the Tigers.
“We have a tough opponent, we know Pella Christian’s season last year. We know they have a lot of talent coming back. They were third last year in class 2A and we know our barometer will be a stiff test right out of the gates and that’s a good thing for us,” explained coach Mager.
The Eagles enter the 2015-2016 season as the second ranked team in the class 2A preseason poles, as they bring back a lot of veteran talent including last years class 2A All-Tournament team member, Levi Jungling. Jungling ranked 9th overall in total scoring for last season’s 2A state tournament with 34 points and ranked in the top 15 in total rebounds.
The Tigers are up for the challenge as they square off against the Eagles starting at 7:30 pm with pregame coverage tipping off at 7:00 pm on your home for ADM basketball, K107.9FM.
