Perry won both ends of a high school non-conference basketball doubleheader on Tuesday night in the middle school gym in Jefferson over the Greene County teams. Both games were heard on KG98, KDLS 1310 AM, the new 99.7 FM, and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The Jayettes won 50-20 and the Blue Jays went home with a 67-59 victory. Perry is now 1-1 on the girls’ side while the Rams fell to 0-2. Both boys teams played their season openers.

Johanna Dui had 14 points for the Perry girls and Taylor Lathrun added 13. Sophomore Laurin Lyons led the Rams with eight points.

The Perry boys were without standout Shammond Ivory due to illness, but used balanced scoring to lead by as many as 16 points in the third quarter. Ryan Rathje had 15 points Rashon Ivory 14, Kyle Nevitt 13, and Janvier Puente 10.

The Rams had 16 points from junior Trey Tucker and 12 from freshman Trey Hinote.

Greene County remains at home vs. CMB (Maxwell) on Dec. 4 for a girl/boy doubleheader on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
