The Churdan Public Library is hosting a couple of events this weekend.
A silent auction fundraiser is going on now with a few items up for bids. Some of the items include a ceramic tree, an antique cabinet and once again there is a drawing for a new Kindle Fire. Bids end on Saturday during the Lion’s Club Christmas event at the library. There will also be an open house, starting at 9am, along with a visit from Santa Claus at noon.
On Sunday will be a fun afternoon of holiday festivities at the Martin House, which is located on the corner of Head and Jay streets. Attendees can listen to short stories, poems and a special guest will be on hand to read a few Christmas stories. It will be from 3:30-5:30pm. Sunday’s event is free and open to the public.
