When North Polk (Alleman) visits the middle school gym in Jefferson tomorrow night to face Greene County, the Ram teams will both be trying to get back in the win column after the girls and boys lost handily in their last two outings vs. Nevada and Gilbert. The girls are 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference while the boys are 1-4 overall and 1-3 in league play.

Coach Dean Lyons team struggles scoring points while Coach Jeramie Hinote’s squads has difficulty stopping the other team from scoring. The Greene County girls are averaging just 26.5 points per game, and allow less than 43 per contest. Sophomore Laurin Lyons leads the team at 8.8 points per game. The boys are averaging 62.2 points, but are giving up an average of almost 72 per game. Junior Trey Tucker is at 19.4 points per contest to lead the way.

Both NP teams are off to good starts. The girls are 5-2 in the conference and 5-3 overall while the boys are 4-2 overall and 4-1 in the HOIAC.
