Wednesday, January 20th

A deputy was advised of a vehicle in the ditch in the 1800 block of 305th Street. The vehicle and driver were located by the deputy and he reported no injuries to the driver or damage to the car.

A deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of N Avenue to check a reported suspicious vehicle parked in a farm driveway. The deputy determined that the vehicle was experiencing mechanical problems and would soon be removed.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a dog running at large in the 700 block of East Division Street in Grand Junction. The dog was captured and taken to the animal shelter in Jefferson.

Two deputies assisted Jefferson Police Officers with a traffic stop and the arrest of a male subject on Sunset Drive in Jefferson.

A deputy was asked to help locate a vehicle that was not returned to a Grand Junction resident in the 900 block of Main Street East.

A deputy was asked to check an open door at the Pleasant Hill Church. No one was found in the church and the door was secured.

A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of Howard Street in Rippey to investigate a harassment concern and the welfare of a juvenile male.

A deputy spoke with a resident in the 1800 block of 218th street about a phone scam that a relative had received.

A deputy was asked to try and locate the owner of a dog running at large and bothering other residents in the 300 block of Hill Street in Churdan. The owner was advised by the deputy to keep the dog on leash if outside.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a dog in the 700 block of Harding Street in Churdan that did not have adequate shelter during the cold weather.

A deputy was asked to assist jailors at the Greene County Law Enforcement Center with an inmate that was out of control after his arrest.

A deputy was asked to assist the Greene County Emergency Medical Services with a medical call in Jefferson.

A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Main Street in Scranton for a residential alarm activation. The owner advised the deputy that she had forgotten the alarm was activated before she let her dogs outside, setting off the alarm.

Thursday, January 21st

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a resident in the 1500 block of Q Avenue.

Two deputies responded to single vehicle accident that occurred on 237th Street ( old Highway 30) at the Raccoon River Bridge west of Jefferson. Beth Marie Leppegard told deputies that she was eastbound, when she lost control and struck the bridge guard rail. Leppegard was not injured but her 2006 Hyundi Accent sustained an estimated $6500 in Damages. Beth Leppegard was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control of her vehicle.

A deputy was advised of an abandoned e- 911 call that mapped to a residence in the 800 block of Main Street in Scranton. Greene County dispatches called the number back and determined that the call was dialed accidentally.

A deputy was advised of a suspicious vehicle in the 2100 block of 340th Street.

Friday, January 22nd

A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Terrace Avenue to help mediate a verbal domestic altercation.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
