The 23-team Guthrie Center Tiger Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday featured several Raccoon Valley Radio area teams and the majority had at least one finalist. Individuals winning titles at Guthrie Center include Ben Freese (126) of Nodaway Valley, Tommy Bradshaw (152) from Greene County, and a pair of Ogden wrestlers; Austin Lentz (182) and Nick Ross (195). Placing second were Panorama’s George Appleseth (120), Coon Rapids-Bayard’s Dalton Aronld (170), and Zach McCloud (145) of Ogden.

Clarion-Goldfield won the team title with 206.5 points. Ogden was third with 123,Van Meter/Earlham sixth with 103.5,  Guthrie Center seventh at 98, Panorama 12th with 80, Woodward-Granger 69.5 for 13th, Greene County 15th with 53, Nodaway Valley 16th with 51, 17th was West Central Valley at 50, and Coon Rapids-Bayard 18th with 49 points.

Bradshaw, a senior ranked second in Class 2A, was named the tournament’s outstanding wrestler. He is now 35-0 after going 4-0 on Saturday, with two falls and two technical falls.
