Greene County Supervisors to Meet Tomorrow Morning

The Greene County Board of Supervisors will meet tomorrow morning.

The Board will hold a public hearing for a surface drain repair project for drainage district 108. The Board will also open bids for an open ditch clean-out project on drainage ditch 150-86.

It begins at 8:30am in the boardroom of the courthouse in Jefferson.

Several Items to be Discussed at Tonight’s Bell Tower Festival Planning Meeting

Everyone is invited to another Bell Tower Festival planning meeting tomorrow night.

Greene County Chamber Tourism and Events Coordinator Angie Pedersen says several items will be addressed at tomorrow night’s meeting, including the logo.

“We’ve had quite a few submissions already that are in and boy there is some cool stuff. So the committee, at the meeting, will be deciding which of the logos that we’ll be using and then we’ll have a reveal.”

Volunteers are also needed for areas like the wine tasting, community barbecue and the beverage garden for Friday and Saturday night’s of the festival.

“The only way that this event works is because so many people are involved. It’s a series of blocks, Bell Tower Festival is, it’s not just one big block named Bell Tower Festival, it’s a lot of smaller blocks that are put together by lots of hands.”

Anyone can come to the open meeting at 5pm at the Chamber office in Jefferson.
