The Dallas County Conservation Board will celebrate the completion of a project several years in the making next month.
A grand opening open house for the Dayton Stagecoach Inn is scheduled for Sunday, April 24th.
Museum Curator Pete Malmberg says the project started in 2005 and they’re proud of the progress that has been made.
“We’ll have some actors there, about six to eight of them. One girl plays the floosy, one guy does some whip entertainment, so they do a variety of little skits and programs. Then we’ve got some of the carriage horses will be out that day. Some carriages will be out that day. Some of the larger draught horses and some of the smaller carriage horses like the hackney horses will be out there, so there will be some wagon rides and several of our staff will be there to explain how to rent the building and some of the history of the building.”
The open house takes place from 1:30 to 3:30pm it’s open to the public.
