The deadline to register a team and receive a free t-shirt for next month’s Greene County Relay for Life is tomorrow.

Team Chair Ann Ostendorf says their goal is to get 15 teams to sign up. She says the teams are an important part of their main event on April 23rd.

“The teams get together and they come up with a name and then they raise money, anyway they want to raise money for their person that they are having their team for. The person may (also be) on the team, if the person was able to beat their cancer. It might be to honor someone who has cancer. That’s really why we are doing this is to celebrate people and try to find away beat cancer and raise money to do that.”

Last year they raised over $50,000 and are looking to do the same this year. Any team that signs up by tomorrow’s deadline will receive a free t-shirt, featuring this year’s logo, which will be unveiled on Thursday at noon and the courthouse.
