The third annual Mother and Son Date Night will be happening later this week in Jefferson.

Parks and Recreation Director Vicky Lautner says the event is for any mothers, grandmothers or mother figures to bring their boy or boys to the Greene County Community Center for games and pizza.

“The sons like to get their moms out there and shoot some baskets, and we’ve had some golf things (and) we’ve had some football throws. We try to have different types of games. We’ll try to come up with some new games that they haven’t played before and keep them interested.”

It will be on Friday, March 18th from 6 to 8:30pm. The cost is $20 per couple and $5 for each additional boy. Call 386-3412 to sign up.
