Following each of the past three basketball seasons, Paton-Churdan’s Carleigh Paup has been selected to various all-state teams. A new honor came her way this past weekend when the Des Moines Register named Paup to the five person Class 1A all-state team. The shooting guard averaged 24.7 points per game for the 12-10 Rockets, and she totaled 1,833 points over her four years of varsity basketball including 544 points as a senior.

Paup will be playing basketball this weekend at Dallas Center-Grimes High School during the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Games on Saturday, March 26. She’s on the 10 member Southwest team, which has senior girls from all five of Iowa’s classes.
