This week we celebrate Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.

Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says 92 Greene County residents are enrolled at ISU in various career fields, 455 ISU alumni reside in the county and 1,631 residents directly benefited from their programs.

“We focus on feeding people, we keep them healthy, we help communities prosper and thrive and we’re trying to build a stronger Iowa and build a stronger generation than what we’ve had. A thank you to the residents that utilize Greene County Extension and Outreach.”

Because they are planning for a major event in November to celebrate Greene County Extension’s 100th anniversary, they are not hosting an event this week.
