Tonight is a special night for the ADM/Van Meter girls soccer team as they kick off their second game of the season.

As the Lady Tigers get set to take on Des Moines Lincoln in their 2016 home opener, the game will carry a special tone with the honoring of the seniors with senior night. This year’s senior group undoubtedly brings a lot of experience and leadership to the the field, leadership that third year head coach Kelsey Gaffney feels is one of ADM/Van Meter’s biggest strengths this season.

“We have some good leadership from quite a few seniors. We’ve got about six seniors and they’ve been working very hard with me the past two seasons. These girls are very motivated this year and one of our goals is to get back to state,” explained coach Gaffney.

The Tigers will rely on that senior leadership as they look to go 2-0 on the season; the game at Island Park is scheduled to commence at 7:00 pm.
