Around two dozen people gathered at 1316 2nd Street in Perry Thursday morning to officially welcome Nudgers Inc. to the Perry Chamber.
The Nudgers are a group of community members that work together to acquire, revitalize and eventually sell buildings in Perry.
Mayor Jay Pattee spoke to the crowd during the open house, stating that he was a Nudger long before he was mayor, as the group was formed in the mid 1990s.
Attendees were able to enjoy refreshments from several local businesses including Perry Perk, Fareway, River Valley Catering, the Perry Grand 3 theater and Picket Fence Creamery, while taking a look at both the vacant storefront on the ground level and the apartments upstairs.
