Friday, December 14th
Deputies and sheriff conducted a consent search in the 500 Block of 175th Street and possibly recovered an axle used to moves buildings that was stolen from the 600 Block of 180th Street back in September, the investigation is on-going.
A deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle thought to be checking out farmsteads in the Scranton area. The deputy could not locate the green in color Dodge Dakota extended cab pickup that was occupied by two males. Residents are asked to call the sheriff’s office if they see this vehicle in the area.
A deputy assisted with Llama’s out in the 1500 Block of U Avenue.
A deputy investigated an assault on a teacher by a student at the East Greene
School Building.
A deputy transferred a minor to the Manning Hospital by court order.
A deputy investigated a property damage crash that occurred on Hwy 4 south of the Greene County High School. Michael V. Marshall, 58, of Boone was southbound on Hwy 4 in a 2004 Kia Optima when he ran over a dead deer causing an estimated $1800 in damages to his vehicle.
A deputy checked for a vehicle involved in the theft of gas from Sparky’s in Jefferson but could not locate it.
A deputy was advised of careless driving westbound 220th from Grand Junction, it was located by Jefferson police and driver checked.
A deputy checked careless driving eastbound from Carroll County and located the vehicle at 86 mph in a 55 zone and cited the driver.
Wallace E. Hamling, Jr., 57, of Jefferson was booked into the county jail after an arrest by Jefferson police for Domestic Abuse-Assault-Simple, he was later released O/R by the magistrate
A deputy investigated harassment by texting in the 1000 Block of N Avenue.
Saturday, December 15th
A deputy checked a loud vehicle and music complaint in Dana and was issued a warning.
A deputy investigated the theft of gas from Sparky’s in Churdan.
A deputy investigated an overnight hit & run to a parked vehicle in Scranton. The suspect vehicle is thought to be a blue full size van or pickup that may have white paint transferred onto it.
A deputy’s investigated an assault in Churdan that led to the arrest of Larena L. Thede, 34, of Churdan for Domestic Abuse-Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Assault Causing Injury, Interference with Official Acts and Public Intoxication, she was later released O/R by the magistrate.
Sunday, December 16th
A deputy investigated hit & run to a stop sign and street sign at N Avenue and 130th Street. Evidence at the scene indicated both signs were ran over by a semi turning east onto 130th Street from N Avenue.
A deputy assisted with cattle out on S Avenue north of 195th Street.
