Greene Co Board of Supervisors 5_23The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The Board appointed Dr. John Van Der Veer to the Greene County Board of Health and they approved the Sheriff’s quarterly report of collections of $49,271.93. The Board also approved a $409 change order, along with a $34,171 pay estimate and certificate of completion for a project at drainage district 108.

The Supervisors then approved to abate $6,356 of property taxes, $9,990.36 of special assessments to Xenia Rural Water District, $650 of special assessments to the City of Jefferson and $1,576.58 of special assessments to the City of Paton for 14 properties.

The Board also approved a $2,200 construction cost document and $2,342 for the bidding process from Brooks, Borg & Skiles for architectural services for the courthouse rotunda stained glass dome rehabilitation project. The Board also set an assessment rate of 143.3 percent with a six percent waiver rate with Carroll County for drainage district 150-86.

Finally, Emergency Management Coordinator Dennis Morlan gave an update to the Board. He said at the start of the next fiscal year on July 1st, Greene County Emergency Medical Services will be celebrating their 30th anniversary. He also told the Board that they received a $25,000 grant from the American Heart Association for a 12-lead ECG equipment to help save time to transfer patients from Jefferson to other hospitals via air ambulance. The Supervisors also gave permission for Morlan to purchase a new electronic cot and stair chair.
