Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department continues to provide summer youth programs later this month.

Director Vicky Lautner says they are trying a new program for middle schoolers called Middle School Volleyball Night. The free program will be led by Greene County High School head volleyball coach Donna Carhill. Lautner talks about how great it will be for the seventh and eighth graders to develop their volleyball skills.

“It’s getting the kids out and practicing and doing some skills. So I think this is a great opportunity for those junior high kids to come in, practice the sport and the head coach is there to help them.”

It will be at the Greene County Community Center from 6 to 7:30pm on Mondays from June 6th through the 27th.
