The 5th Annual Kingdom Living Recovery Festival will take place on
Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Riverview Park in Des Moines.
What began in 2020 as a small gathering of 400 people has grown into one of the Midwest’s
largest recovery-centered events, with over 4,000 attendees expected this year.
This free, family-friendly outdoor event is open to the public and features:
● Live music performances by William Elliott Whitmore, Riley Downing, Brother
Trucker, David Redfearn, Coldsaint, and Misled
● Powerful recovery speakers
● Food trucks, bounce houses, and kids’ activities
● Superheroes and photo opportunities
● Kickball and community games
● Recovery resources and support booths
● A moving luminary ceremony at dusk
The festival brings together individuals and families from across Iowa and surrounding
states, offering a space of hope, healing, and community connection. Its slogan,
“Recovery Lives Here – Community Thrives Here”.
