Perry’s FamilyFest

June 6 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

The Perry Public Library is holding their annual FamilyFest event to launch their Summer Library Program on Saturday, June 6th from 10:30am to 1:30pm. There will be free activities including a Foam Blaster, giant bubbles, inflatables, outdoor games, a gaming truck filled with a selection of consoles, balloon twisters, a dunk tank, and a petting zoo.

Plus, this year, history will come alive at FamilyFest as Live History pays a visit to Perry! Live History, an international touring theater company, specializes in bringing your local history to life. FamilyFest participants will experience Live History’s interactive theatrical experience by joining in missions, tasks, and puzzle-based interactions with live performers – all based on Perry’s unique and rich history! “In Time” is the perfect free, immersive experience to kick off our Summer Library Program, celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary with the theme “Read, White, and Blue.”
The Perry Volunteer Fire Department and the Friends of the Perry Public Library will also offer a $2.00 meal of either a hot dog or pork loin as a fundraiser. Thank you to our collaborative partners and sponsors who make this event possible: City of Perry, Friends of the Perry Public Library, Perry Public Library Foundation, Bock Family Foundation, Dallas County Public Health, Hispanics United for Perry, Iowa PBS, Perry Volunteer Fire Department, Rotary Club of Perry, Fareway, Raccoon Valley Radio, HyVee, and Rhonda Olson’s Popcorn Stand.
