The Rippey Public Library is hosting a pumpkin decorating contest.  There are several age groups, including kindergarten to 2nd grade, 3rd to 6th grade, 7th to 12th grade and adult.  Prizes will be awarded in each age group for the scariest, funniest and most creative.  Pumpkins will be available to be picked up from the library from 2 pm to 5 pm on October 5th through the 9th and must be dropped off to the library at 10 am on October 17th.  Only the outside of the pumpkin is to be decorated and no cutting into the pumpkin will be allowed.  The contest is free and open to the public.
