PERRY – Join in on the festive holiday tradition from November 25th to January 3rd as the Carnegie Library Museum opens the Festival of Trees. The free display is open Tuesday through Saturdays from 10am-4pm and closed Sundays and Mondays. They will also be closed on December 24th and 25th and January 1st.

A Bouton Breakfast will be held at the Bouton Community Center on Saturday, December 6th from 7 am to 10 am. Cost for adutls is $9 Children 5 to 12 are $5 and kids under 5 are free. It’s a all you can eat breakfast featuring sausage, ham, eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, toast, coffee, milk, and orange juice. Santa will arrive at 9 am.

Redfield- The Redfield Winterfest is scheduled for December 6th! The West Central Valley Middle School will have a craft fair, silent auction and cookie walk from 9am-2pm. Kids shop for free from 10am-2pm with a Santa Visit at 1pm. The fun continues at Legion Hall and City Park with a chili competition, tree and holiday display and lighting of the park, and lighted parade at 7pm.

On Saturday, December 6, the Greene County Iowa Genealogical Society will be meeting in the basement meeting room of the Jefferson Public Library. We will go over the see records at Slininger-Schroeder funeral home, if they are available. Members are bring items for donation to the food pantry and snacks to share as we discuss family Christmases past and current. We will also prepare our annual newsletter for mailing. Jingle into Junction will be held now in Saturday, December 6th from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the Grand Junction Community Center. Their will be a silent auction, ready made gifts at Naked Ladies Garden Club booth and a delicious homemade meal will be served, cost is $7 for adults, $4 for kids under 10 and kids under 5 are free.
