It’s finally time to roll out the red carpet… the 33rd annual Bell Tower Festival in Jefferson kicks off today around 11am.
The information booth will be set up from 11am-8pm, Aktion Club will be selling popcorn all day and you can tour the Mahanay Bell Tour until 8pm as well.
Other highlights of the day include the Bell Tour Idol preliminaries at City Hall at 2pm; inflatables, games and mini golf from 4-8pm on the square; a Flag Day ceremony on the south side of the courthouse at 6pm, and an art show from 8-9.
Greene County Chamber Executive Director Ken Paxton says they’re gearing up for what is expected to be the biggest and best Bell Tower yet.
“Our Bell Tower Committee has done an incredible job” says Paxton. “Two years ago we had 29 vendors, last year we were up to 39 vendors, this year we’re up to 51 vendors and on top of that we’ve added midway games which is really quite exciting.”
However the main features of the day are the opening ceremonies and Tower of Fame award Ceremony at the courthouse rotunda at 7pm, followed by the red carpet walk and Joseph Hall’s Elvis Tribute from 8-10pm in the beverage garden.
