The Dallas County Fair kicks off Wednesday in Adel and the schedule features something for everyone.

Among the events on tap Wednesday are check-in and weigh-ins for various 4-H shows, the carnival which opens up at 6pm, a pie auction at 6:30pm and 2012 fair queen announcement at 7:00.

Gate admission is free throughout the fair thanks to generous sponsors.  The Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live throughout the duration of the fair and everyone is encouraged to stop on by.
