Perry area residents will have the opportunity to get their pets vaccinated at a large discount early next month.
Dr. Abby Strobbe is a traveling veterinarian, based out of Ames, who goes to communities around the area serving pets in the comfort of their own home.
Dr. Stobbe will be in Perry on Sunday September 2nd offering rabies vaccinations for a $10 donation per animal.
Abby Benefiel with the Perry Humane Society reminds residents that these vaccinations are required for all dogs in Iowa, and recommended for indoor/outdoor cats.
All dogs and cats must be at least 4 months old to receive the vaccination. Owners should plan to bring any previous vaccination records if possible. Dogs must arrive in a lease or pet carrier and cats must be in a pet carrier as well.
The clinic takes place at the Perry Dog Park September 2nd from 1-3pm.
