The Perry football team knows that its red zone production needs to improve if they are to knock off Glenwood this Friday night in the annual homecoming game. “Outside of running it in or throwing it in from a long distance, our team has really struggled when we get insed the 30 yard line,” Perry head coach Jason Olenjzack commented. “Basically, it comes down to two things. We need to run the ball inside the tackles better which should happen consistently in high school football and we need to cut down on some of the mistakes that we are making on 1st down. When you lose 3 or 4 yards on first down that puts you in a bad situation.”
Perry has scored only 3 offensive touchdowns over the last 2 weeks in losses to Boone and Harlan.
Perry will look to snap a two game losing skid Friday night against a Glenwood team that fell to ADM last week 21-14. You can listen to the game with the preview show starting at 6:30 and kickoff at 7:30 on Local Radio KDLS 1310 AM.
