The Lady Tigers Volleyball team saw their 14 match winning streak entering this weekend come to an end at the Dubuque Invitational. A-D-M beat Valley Lutheran but dropped matches against Cedar Rapids-Kennedy, Iowa City & Western Dubuque.
“We played well at times,” said A-D-M Head Cooch Mary Beth Scott, “And then we had moments that needed improvement. It was good to play Cedar Rapids & Iowa City, we had to push ourselves.”
After an opening match win over Valley Lutheran 21-9 & 21-11 ran their streak to 15, The Lady Tigers fell to Cedar Rapids 17-21 & 12-21, Iowa City 8-21 & 20-22 and Western Dubuque 25-19, 22-25 & 15-17 in the tiebreaker.
“The girl’s did a better job of blocking this weekend,” Coach Scott continued, “They also stepped up thier defense.”
A-D-M is now 16 & 4 overall & 4 & 0 in District play. The Lady Tigers host Winterset tonight at home, JV game starts at 5:30, Varsity at 7.
