The Perry Public Library plans to participate in the American Library Association’s “Banned Books Week” next month.

In honor of the occasion, the library will be opening up a special collection of frequently banned or challenged books on loan from the Carnegie Library Museum.

Patrons will be able to exercise their First Amendment right to read whatever they like and enjoy “banned books”.

The collection will be available to Perry Library card holders through March of 2013.
