This month is expected to be a big one in terms of finishing up various projects in Jefferson.

City Administrator Mike Palmer says brick pavers will be installed on the west business side of the square early this week.  Next week the removal and replacement of sidewalk on the east side will start and is expected to be completed in 8-10 working days.

The overpass project is also expected to be completed this month.  Palmer says within the next few weeks the 10 foot walkway will be installed along with the railing, fencing and lighting.

The intersection of Vine and State Street is expected to be closed through Wednesday as crews are replacing concrete in preparation of the asphalt resurfacing.  Palmer says the $225,000 overlay project is funded through Local Option Sales Tax dollars, which was approved by voters in 2006.
