One of the biggest fundraisers for the Relay for Life event in Jefferson is coming up this weekend at the courthouse.

The Jefferson Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does will be putting on its Mantel-Table Top Christmas Display and Silent Basket Auction Saturday and Sunday. Does Secretary and Co-Chair Tammy Smith says that the goal of the table display and auction is to bring people together in the spirit of Christmas and raise money for Relay for Life.

The baskets for the silent auction are all made by Does members with some of them bringing in up to a couple hundred dollars each. Some of the big items are wine and cheese and snowman themed baskets.

The Baskets are currently on display at the courthouse and early bids are being taken until 3pm this Sunday. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Relay for Life of Jefferson.
