Mark your calendars… the Perry Chamber of Commerce has announced the date of their annual winter bike ride along the Raccoon River Valley Trail.

“Winter’s just around the corner and February 2nd, 10am, we start riding from downtown.”

That’s chamber executive director Bob Wilson. This year’s ride coincides with another holiday…

“And it’s Groundhog Day and it’s appropriate.  Hopefully we’ll have snow in the ditches just none on the road.”

Bicyclists will travel from downtown Perry to Rippey along the Raccoon River Valley Trail. The round trip is a total of 24 miles in the dead of winter. More information will be released as the date draws closer.
