A reminder to all Jefferson-Scranton School District students that school will be back in session starting Monday, January 7th.

Superintendent Tim Christensen has released when the snow days from December 20th and 21st will be made up.  He says that as of right now, the make-up snow days are planned for Friday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 28th.  Friday, May 24th was originally scheduled as a “teacher work day” and a no school day for students and Tuesday, May 28th is now the last school day for all Jefferson-Scranton Schools for the 2012-13 school year.

Christensen points out that if there is another snow day between Monday, January 7th and Monday, January 14th, the make-up day will be January 21st, which is Martin Luther King Day.  He further states that if a third snow day is announced before Monday, February 11th, that the school policy is to make it up on Monday, February 18th which is a no school day for students and another “teacher work day”.

Since Jefferson-Scranton is on a trimester schedule this year, the snow days and school starting back up on Monday will not affect semester testing.  Monday, January 7th will be a normal school day.
