The Adel Public Library is hosting their inaugural How-To Festival next week.

Over the course of five hours, there will be several sessions where people learn how to do something new.  Examples include how to care for your pets, quilt, start a butterfly garden, record family history, do Dutch oven cooking, yoga and more.

Around 20 local residents, groups and businesses have signed up to teach a wide variety of mini sessions.

Library Director Paula James says she first heard about How-To Festivals through an article in American Libraries and says she’s excited to welcome people to Adel’s first event.
