The high school sports calendar for today (Monday) has quite a bit on it, weather permitting. Rain is in the forecast, but the timing, location, and amount of precipitation will likely determine whether sporting events will be held, postponed, or cancelled.

Greene County High School track & field teams are scheduled to complete in two meets later today. The girls are set to take part in the Carroll Coed Relays at the Carroll Athletic Field at 4:30 p.m. while the boys are in the two-class boys’ meet in Gowrie hosted by Prairie Valley at 5 p.m. The Paton-Churdan boys are also at Prairie Valley today. Both Perry high school track & field teams are scheduled in the Carroll meet. The ADM girls are scheduled to take part in a track meet at Urbandale at 4:30 p.m.

Both Greene County golf teams also have meets scheduled for today. The girls have a make-up meet on the schedule vs. Gilbert at 4 p.m. at the Ames Country Club while the boys host Dallas Center-Grimes at 4 p.m. at the Lakeside Golf Course northwest of Grand Junction. The ADM golf teams hav meet scheduled today with the girls facing Carlisle and Winterset at the Lakeview Country Club, and boys hosting Carlisle and Winterset north of Adel at the River Valley Golf Course. The boys soccer teams from ADM are at Boone later today.
