Most summer activities at your local library are probably starting to wind down but things are still rolling at Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center.
Director Pat Sleister invites everyone to come out, “I would like to encourage everyone to come out and visit your public library this summer. We have all kinds of activities
going on and it is a nice cool place to visit with lots to do. We also want to remind you that July 22nd on Monday when RAGBRAI comes through Guthrie Center we will be
opening the library at 8 am for all the riders to check their emails and get on the internet. So we will be open for everybody with every computer on.”
A few of the activities still going on is every Monday from 9 am to 11 am there are cribbage lessons and bridge lessons every Wednesday at the same time. Everyone is invited.
For children ages 4 to 9 there is a story hour on Thursdays from 2 pm to 3:30 pm being put on by the 7th Day Adventist Church in Guthrie.
With the weather being hot outside it is good to find cool summer activities for everyone and the best place to start is your local library.
