There were many interesting riders and teams in Perry yesterday, some were participating in RAGBRAI for fun, others for a good cause.

For example, Team Breast Friends Forever was raising through a couple unique fundraisers. Robin Elliot of Grinnell and Bridget Pargulski of Johnston are both recent breast cancer survivors.

They could be found walking around Perry with big hats made out of bras and feather boas holding a “bra-ski”, which Elliot says is made of shot glasses and bras on a pink snow ski.

“With your donation you get to stuff our bras” purses that is, “and take a shot off the bra-ski”.

Pargulski says originally they planned to try and get attention for the cause by wearing ugly bras outside their clothing but when she saw the bra-ski at another event they decided it was a better idea and made their own.

The two were raising money for the breast cancer 3 day in Chicago and were quite a hit around town.
