One of the most popular and successful rock-and-roll dance bands in the Midwest is coming to the 2013 Adair County Fair.
Secretary for the Adair County Fair, Brenda Meisenheimer, would like to encourage everyone to come out, “Head on out to the Adair County Fairgrounds this Friday, August 2nd. We are having the ‘Rumbles’ for their final tour this year. There will be music, dancing and a concert. The food and beer garden open up at 6:30 pm and the ‘Rumbles’ begin to play at 8 o’clock. It’s $10 per person so head on out to the Adair County Fairgrounds in Greenfield.”
The ‘Rumbles’ started out in the 1960’s as a garage band from Council Bluffs, Iowa, and began playing professionally in 1963.
The Rumbles had a reunion concert in 1979 which was a big hit and they have been rockin’ it ever since. The bands favorite saying, “We started this band to have some fun, and we aren’t giving up until we have some.”
