The 2nd Annual Gary McDonald Memorial Tractor Ride is today.
Greene County Sheriff Steve Haupert wants to make everyone aware of the route that will be taken will include be several slow-moving vehicles including some 75-100 tractors with more pulling trailers with people on them.
He says that the tractors will start in Scranton at 8:30am will head east on old Highway 30 to Jefferson, then they will cross Highway 30 on County Road P-33 and stop at Spring Lake Park. After a short break there, Sheriff Haupert states the route continues on County Road E-26 toward Dana and then north on Highway 144 to Paton.
After a tour of Bauer Built Manufacturing in Paton and lunch at 209 Main, the tractors will travel west on County Road E-18 and then south on County Road P-29 to Highway 4 to Churdan City Park for an afternoon break.
Sheriff Haupert says the route will continue on County Road P-14 and west on County Road E-33 and finally back into Scranton by 4pm for the evening’s activities.
Sheriff Haupert says there will be deputies along the roads for traffic control, but everyone needs to be aware of several tractors on rural roads for the memorial tractor ride today.
