The Perry Public Library invites everyone to participate in their All Iowa Reads program next month.
The community wide book discussion takes place Tuesday September, 23rd in the library’s community room.
This year’s selection is The Year We Left Home by Jean Thompson. Iowans from across the state will participate in the program that encourages everyone to read and talk about a single title in the same year.
The goal of the project is to stimulate public interest in books, reading literacy and libraries.
Anyone can check out the book because it’s available in regular, large print and audio-book formats at the library. You can also purchase a copy for just $5.
Author, English instructor and Iowa Writer’s Workshop graduate George Minot from Iowa City will lead the discussion at 7pm on the 23rd.
For more information, stop by the library or all 465-3569.
