Guthrie County Mental Health Coordinator Diane Jackson spoke to the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors recently about the latest news involving the regionalization of mental health services in the county.
The mental health consortium of Guthrie, Greene and Audubon counties agreed to join forces with mental health departments in Warren and Dallas counties back in March of this year after the state legislature mandated that services regionalize.
Jackson says the process is going smoothly thus far, despite the fact the agreement will change slightly now that Warren County has decided to instead pair up with mental health services in Story County.
Jackson says Warren County’s decision will not change regionalization plans with Dallas County, and her patients will not be affected at all.
Regionalization with Dallas County for the three-county consortium will go into effect on July 1 of next year.
