Greene County fell to 4-4 on the high school volleyball season overall and 1-1 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference action following a loss in four games to Roland-Story at Story City. Scores were 14-25, 16-25, 25-18, 14-25. Greene County is 11-10 overall in games. The Norsemen improved their match record to 9-3 and they are 2-1 in league play.

The Norsemen dominated the first two games and did not trail at all in game one and 1-0 was the only lead for the Rams in game two. Game three saw Greene County bread away from a tie at 11-11 and build a lead as big as eight points. R-S came back to break a 2-2 tie with six straight points and they never were seriously challenged down the stretch.

The Rams are at home on Thursday, Sept. 19 vs. PCM (Monroe) in the middle school gym in Jefferson. Ninth grade and JV matches begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity match to follow.
