Friday, September 20th

A deputy checked the report of vandalism to a window of a business in the 800 block of Locust Street in Scranton. It was determined that damage to the window had occurred at previous time.

A deputy was advised of cattle on the roadway at 270th Street and Redwood Avenue. The owner of the cattle was present upon the deputy’s arrival.

A deputy was advised of a possible harassment case in Dana. The harassment complaint is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office at this time.

A deputy checked the report of reckless and erratic driving in Scranton. The deputy spoke with the driver of the vehicle about his actions.

Saturday, September 21st

A deputy was dispatched to the 1000 block of East Railroad Street in Grand Junction for a reported domestic family feud. The deputy helped resolve the altercation without incident.

A deputy checked the report of a large bonfire in Churdan. The fire was contained and was monitored by several residents at that location.

A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction for the report of loud music. The resident agreed to lower the volume to an acceptable level.

A deputy was advised of an intoxicated person in the backyard of a residence in the 500 block of Jefferson Street in Scranton. The deputy did subsequently arrest Dacoda Lawrence of Scranton for public intoxication.

A deputy was advised of a one vehicle accident that occurred on Jordan Avenue just north of 270th Street.  Due to a previous call in Scranton the deputy was assisted by two Jefferson Police Officers that covered the accident.

Sunday, September 22nd

A deputy checked the report of the unknown source of smoke in Scranton. The deputy did determine that a neighbor was burning wooden material in a 55 gallon drum and the fire was monitored.

A deputy was advised of off road motorcycles being ridden along the roadway on Jordan Avenue. The identity of the motorcycle riders is yet to be determined.

A deputy checked the report of four pit bull dogs running at large in Grand Junction.  The deputy advised the owner of the dogs that they are not allowed inside the city due to city code regulations.

A deputy checked the report of a pickup truck that had entered the ditch on 290th Street just west of B Avenue. A 2000 GMC Sonoma pickup that is owned and was being driven by Raymond William Wampler of Scranton sustained approximately $1500 in damages when it entered the ditch. Wampler was not at the scene upon the deputy’s arrival and the vehicle was towed by Durbin Towing of Jefferson.

A deputy checked a reported harassment complaint in Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
