ADMThe ADM Tigers’ football season came to an end in the first round of the Class 3-A district playoffs last night with their 27-7 loss on the road at Carroll.

ADM battled toe-for-toe with the Carroll Tigers in the first 24 minutes of action, but after scoring a touchdown on a Grant Goeden 13-yard run to make it 14-7 in the third quarter, the Tigers simply ran out of gas down the stretch.

The Tigers accumulated just 76 yards on the ground against Carroll’s ferocious defensive line, and Kolby Whisner and the ADM passing attack was also held at bay much of the night.  Whisner ended the game 13-32 for 150 yards and an interception.

After ADM contained Carroll’s run-first offense in the first half to keep the halftime score at just 7 to 0, tailback Jon Dvorak got it going in the second half for Carroll, scoring on touchdown runs of 14, 20 and 11 yards.  Dvorak finished the game with four touchdowns on the ground.

Carroll will now travel to Harlan for its second round playoff game on Monday.  As for ADM, the Tigers end the year on a four game losing streak and finish the season with a 4-6 overall record.
