Greene County Medical Center recently hired Jamie Dodd as its new director for its long term care facility.

Dodd is an experienced nursing home director for both a hospital-based and a freestanding for-profit nursing homes.  She has a social services bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of South Dakota and is a licensed nursing home administrator.

Because of her experience, GCMC Chief Nursing Executive Cindy Kail believes Dodd will bring her hard work ethic to continue the success of their long term care facility and will make it a great place to work with the staff of the facility.

She replaces Linda Bills who was the previous director after 34 years of service.  The long term care facility is home to over 50 permanent residents and is a temporary place for people who are recovering from surgeries or illnesses before they return to their private residence.

Dodd will begin serving as the director in early December.
