A deputy checked a reported unoccupied vehicle on 230th Street at U Avenue.

A rural Greene County resident came to the Law Enforcement Center to report his dog was missing and believed it was taken from his residence.

A Des Moines Police Officer requested that a deputy check on a resident in the 1300 block of 290th Street.  A relative in Des Moines had not heard from her sister in several weeks.  The deputy responded to the residence and found no one home at that time.

A deputy spoke with a concerned mother about the possible physical abuse of her daughter while visiting her father. The deputy spoke with the juvenile and found the mothers concerns to be unsubstantiated.

A deputy helped mediate a domestic verbal altercation and a civil issue in the 600 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction.

A rural Greene County resident in the 1100 block of R Avenue called the Law Enforcement Center to advise a deputy that they have acquired a stray dog. The dog was later identified as the animal that was reported missing from a residence in the 1800 block of 235th Street earlier in the day. The owner was notified as to the location of his dog.

A deputy checked the report of multiple gun shots being fired in the 500 block of 195th Street. The deputy did not hear the sound of shots fired upon his arrival.

Saturday, November 30th

A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of Dudley Street in Churdan to help resolve a verbal domestic disturbance. The deputy advised all parties involved to find other places to spend the night.

A deputy and the Grand Junction Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction. A 1999 Chrysler Town and Country minivan that is owned and was being driven by Diane McClintock of 800 Percival Street had erupted in fire soon after she had parked the vehicle at her residence. The minivan sustained an estimated $4000 in damages and a cause was not determined at this time.

A deputy was advised of several bikes being found hanging from the trees along the bike trail near Winkelman Switch. The bikes were removed and taken to the impound lot in Jefferson.

A deputy helped resolve a civil issue that resulted in a verbal altercation between two males over the ownership of a snowmobile in the 400 block of South 15th Street in Grand Junction.

A deputy investigated a reported threatening and harassing letter that had been placed on a vehicle at a residence in the 1500 block of 195th Street.

A deputy was dispatched to the report of illegal dumping in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction. A dumpster that is privately owned was being used by the public for dumping refuse. The deputy advised several persons that it was a private dumpster and not to be used by the public.

A deputy was unable to locate debris that was reported on the roadway on 235th Street just east of Jefferson.

A deputy checked the second report of illegal dumping in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction. A rocker/recliner that had been placed at the curb for removal was inadvertently placed on the wrong property.

A deputy checked the report of an occupied vehicle that was attempting to drive out of the ditch on Neola Avenue near 300th Street. The vehicle was not located by the deputy upon his arrival.

Sunday, December 1st

A deputy assisted an Iowa State Trooper with securing a vehicle on 220th Street at R Avenue after the Trooper arrested Erin Elizabeth Cain of Boone, Iowa, for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated.

A deputy was advised of a civil dispute between family members in the 600 block of 11th Street in Grand Junction. The deputy spoke with all parties involved as to their legal rights.

A deputy was advised of a careless and erratic driver on Highway 30, eastbound from D Avenue. The deputy did locate and initiate a traffic stop on that vehicle. The driver was evaluated and later released.

A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a shop lifter that was arrested at the Dollar General Store.

A deputy assisted the Iowa State Patrol with a two vehicle accident that occurred at A Avenue and 250th Street on the Greene and Carroll County line.

A deputy checked the report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 160th Street and I Avenue.

A deputy was advised of cattle on the roadway in the 1700 block of 170th Street. The owner of the cattle was notified as to the situation.

A deputy received a complaint but was unable to locate the origin of a barking dog in 700 block of 11th Street in Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
