A deputy was dispatched to Scranton for the report of a suspicious vehicle driving slowly around town. The vehicle was not found at the time of the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was advised of a careless driver in the Grand Junction area. The deputy did locate and stop the vehicle at the intersection of Highway 144 and 230th Street. The driver was evaluated and then allowed to continue.
Two deputies were advised of a careless driver westbound on 220th Street heading to Jefferson. Two Jefferson Police Officers were also advised and initiated a traffic stop on that vehicle. A citation was issued by the officers for an expired registration.
A deputy checked the report of an open door at the Old Brick Schoolhouse at N Avenue and 130th Street.
A deputy is investigating a nuisance dog complaint in Paton.
A deputy was advised of a car-deer accident that occurred on 237th Street (Old Hwy 30) just west of the Raccoon River Bridge. Iona Irene Hoyle of rural Bagley, Iowa, drove her vehicle home and reported the accident. No damage estimate is known at this time and Iona Hoyle reported no injuries.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
